Design Philosophy

I designed this Area 51 level for a dual purpose: as a narrative-based experience and an endless survival mode, akin to COD Zombies.

I selected Area 51 as the setting because its surrounding myths perfectly align with a dystopian sci-fi project. The expansive nature of an airfield makes for a seamless endless mode map, where enemies can spawn from all directions at any time.

Choosing Area 51 also permitted a scenario where aliens are invading the USA. The base's planes, structures, and other elements are destroyed, providing excellent cover opportunities for the player. However, these obstacles can also enable enemies to ambush the player if they're not vigilant.
